Definition of BS 1387 Welded Steel Pipes:
This British Standard specifies requirements for screwed and socketed steel tubes and tubular and plain-end steel tubes suitable for welding or screwing to BS 21 pipe threads. This standard is applicable to tubes of nominal size DN 8 to DN 150 in three series of thickness designated light, medium, and heavy.
Three different classes under the BS1387 standard：
A: Class Light
B: Class Medium
C: Class Heavy
Tolerance
On diameter: As per the above table
On Thickness: Light tube -8%
Medium and heavy tubes - 10%
On mass: Per bundle of 150 M and over +/-4%
Per single tube +/- 10%, -8%
Packages
1. OD 219mm and below In hexagonal seaworthy bundles packed by steel strips, With two nylon slings for each bundle
2. above OD 219mm in bulk or according to custom opinion
3. 25 tons/container and 5 tons/size for a trial order;
4. For a 20" container the max length is 5.8m;
5. For a 40" container the max length is 12m.
